The machines previously supplied include sleeving and cartoning machinery with the latest additions being used in their celebration cake hall running a wide range of celebration cake sizes and designs. The machines run some large window and drop window cartons and are fitted with a pinlock quick size change system to ensure fast efficient sizes changes with minimal carton wastage.

Mash Direct the multi award winning food producer have recently secured another large contract to supply their products to UK supermarket Morrisons PLC. In order to meet the demands of this new contract Mash Direct have once again turned to T. Freemantle to supply end of line sleeving machinery. One of Freemantle’s market leading preglued sleevers was chosen and will be in and running shortly after Christmas this year. The machine can run a variety of bowl and tray sizes along with both full and band sleeves. Saarioinen is a Finnish, privately owned food industry group and one of Finland's leading food manufacturers. The raw material for their products originates in the pure Finnish countryside. Saarioinen is the market leader in many of its operational areas and the largest supplier of ready meals in the domestic market. Products are also exported to the Baltic countries, Germany, Sweden, and Russia. Their continued growth in the ready meals market led them to look for a ready meals sleever that could meet the capacity requirements where others had failed. The Preglued Sleever from T. Freemantle Ltd met these demands perfectly and now runs at a nominal line speed of 85 sleeves per minute on one of Saarionen’s most modern lines.

Kerry Foods have installed a fully automatic wraparound sleeving machine from T. Freemantle Limited for their recently launched range of Rippa Dippa snacks. With such a prestigious contract and a tight schedule to meet, Kerry foods considered a number of potential equipment suppliers. T. Freemantle came out as the clear choice as the UK Market leader and installed the machine comfortably meeting the critical product launch date. The pack consists of three twin compartment pots wrapped within one carton board sleeve. The sleeve with its striking graphics and spot varnish had to be presented perfectly to meet the high demands of Kerry Foods. The machine incorporates a simple infeed transfer to collate three pots from the line and feed them into the machine. The flat sleeve is then selected from a magazine and wrapped around the product before being glued together. The sleeve allows the edges of the pot to protrude through apertures in the sidewalls of the sleeve to secure the pots in place within the sleeve.

Freemantle win contract with Glendale Foods
Semi cartoner beats the competition.
T. Freemantle Limited are pleased to announce their contract win with Glendale Foods Ltd manufacturers of the Yankee brand of microwavable snack foods and the Great British Pudding Company range of puddings. The required flexibility and ease of change over were key to the Glendale team and T. Freemantle was able to demonstrate this on their Semi automatic end load cartoner. The machine will be set using the pinlock quick size change system which has proven to reduce change over times and carton wastage. In most cases unskilled staff can change the machine size settings in just a few minutes for a wide range of carton sizes. It is planned that the new machines efficient operation will allow Glendale to combine two lines into one with increased speed and performance thus cutting costs and reducing labour.

The machine is a top load carton erector producing small top load cartons for the Fisherman’s Friend multipack boxes. The cartons have a large cut out to allow for the contents to be seen through the side of the pack. The pack features the distinctive Fisherman’s Friend brown hatched branding which required a perfectly square and consistent pack presentation to maintain the continuity of this hatching around the pack. The machine operates within a footprint of less than two metres square and produces cartons at a rate of 40 per minute.

Cartoner and Sleever
Two machines packing some of the smallest products ever handled by T. Freemantle Ltd have been installed with two of the UK’s finest quality manufacturers. The first a cartoner was recently supplied to the award winning Booja Booja company of Norfolk. Booja Booja produce the very finest organic chocolate truffles in a box only 57mm long and 27mm wide and needed a simple machine that was guaranteed to give a consistent perfectly presented pack.
The second a Wraparound sleever to pack the famous Gu branded premium quality chocolate mini puds was supplied to the Serious Dessert Co. This machine follows closely behind a Semi automatic cartoner recently supplied. The wraparound sleever wraps the 49mm diameter pots automatically within the distinctive Black Gu branded sleeve. Special care had to be taken to ensure perfect presentation of this black packaging to meet with the client exacting standards.

TINE BA is Norway's largest producer, distributor and exporter of dairyproducts. TINE BA is strongly positioned in the Norwegian consciousness.
TINE BA is the sales and marketing organisation for Norway's dairy cooperative and is responsible for product development, quality assurance, production and distribution planning, marketing and the export of TINE products. Selected items from their range of sleeved products are now being packed on a Fully Automatic preglued sleever supplied by T. Freemantle Limited. The machine runs at a speed of up to 120 packs per minute and has already proven to offer Tine double the capacity of the previous machine.
Norway's Dairy Cooperative is owned by 16312 dairy farmers. Each of them owns a share in the collective's five dairy companies to which they deliver 1.4 billion litres of cow's milk and about 19 million litres of goat's milk every year. The Dairy Cooperative is Norway's largest food industry with a total of 5540 employees and an annual turnover of 15,9 billion NOK for 2007.
The milk is processed into more than 200 product varieties that are found on shop shelves under the TINE trademark.

MITSIDES established in Cyprus in 1932 dominates the Cyprus Market for flour and pasta products in Cyprus, holding impressive shares of around 50% in the local pasta and flour markets. With offices and production units in Nicosia, Dhali and Aradippou and regional offices and distribution centers in all main cities of Cyprus, Mitsides locally employs around 160 people.
Recently, the company has continued with an expansion of its operations abroad, through the acquisition of a stake in a Serbian company involved in the grains, flour and pasta industries. In order to meet their increasing demand they have purchased a second Cartoning machine from T. Freemantle Ltd to pack their pasta products into cartons.

Potts Bakers of Barnsley have recently installed one of T. Freemantle’s cartroners to help them meet the increasing demand for their range of premium organic cakes. Potts are master bakers established in 1891 and have a long history of producing the finest baked goods for local supply and retail through the major multiples. Chosen as one of Rick Stein's food heroes, they have been registered as an organic processor with the Soil Association since 1999 and maintain the very highest quality standards. They have chosen the Freemantle machine to help them maintain their high standards for their retail products. The accuracy and consistency of the pack presentation was paramount to Potts when selecting a machine. The Freemantle machine was able to show increased throughput, maintain quality and provide a reliable and flexible solution.

T. Freemantle Limited has successfully launched their most recent innovation which is set to position the company as total end of line specialist for tray packed products. The new modular system incorporates a new tray erecting machine coupled with a product collator and tray loader. The second of these units is due for installation within the Premier Foods Group running two shelf ready tray sizes with two different collations of cartons. The simple compact design incorporates different collation devices to load products including aerosols, bottles, cartons, bags and pouches.
The new simplified Tray erector is fitted with the latest Nordson glue application equipment and linear motion drives to ensure perfect adhesive application and clean running even with shallow small wall shelf ready trays. The unit due for installation with Premier Foods has a simple star wheel collation device to accept product from the line and stand up on end in collations of ten ready for loading into the pre erected tray. The pick and place device also utilises the best in linear motion technology to ensure an accurate, reliable and maintenance free operation. The whole system operates within a floor space of 2 square meters at a maximum rate of 125 products per minute.

Third cartoner for Haldiram’s India.
India’s leading convenience food producer, Haldiram’s has completed the purchase of their third cartroner from T. Freemantle Limited. The machines have been installed within three of Haldiram’s factories in Haryana, Nagpur and New Delhi. All three machines run a variety of carton sizes and replace the hand erect tuck type boxes with glue end skillet type cartons.

T. Freemantle limited has recently completed the installation of one of their fully automatic wraparound sleevers to run the Heinz `Taste of Home’ single portion pudding pots. The machine incorporates an in line transfer system accepting pots in single file directly from the line. The pots are then automatically separated into pairs and loaded into the machine. The machine then wraps the flat sleeve around the pots and glues the sleeve together.
This machine is proving to be a popular choice with recent installations for this type of machine with 3 other producers of similar products both in the UK and Europe. The machine has been designed with special consideration given to the cleaning of the machine and infeed transfer system. The Pinneys of Scotland operation based in Annan is the largest processor of Scottish salmon in the UK. The Pinneys brand holds the Royal warrant to supply smoked salmon to Her Majesty the Queen as well as enjoying extensive export business.
In addition to its traditional smoked salmon and salmon fillets, they also supply a growing range of value added seafood based products cartoned on a new T. The leading fresh cut vegetable and salad producer in the Netherlands has installed two Freemantle fully automatic preglued sleevers. The machines run the range of ready to eat salad products produced for the Netherlands leading supermarket chain, Albert Heijn. The premium nature of the products relies on accurate sleeve placement and delicate handling of the finished products. The sleeve is narrow and positioned centrally around the clear oval bowl product to allow maximum visibility of the high quality and carefully assembled products. The machines have the capability to operate at a combined speed of 180 packs per minute and run a range of bowl shapes and sleeve designs.

Sovind Mejeri A/S launch premium product.
Danish organic cheese producer Sovind Mejeri, manufacturers of the famous KIRKS brand of dairy products have recently launched a premium sleeved product with the help of a T. Freemantle Ltd automatic preglued sleever. Running at the company's Sovind plant, the machine accepts a random supply of pots directly from the line at a steady 50 pots per minute. The machine then automatically selects the product and sleeves it within a standard preglued carton board sleeve. The simple machine requires no glue, no warm up times and changeover can be completed in just a few minutes. This machine is one of the first of 5 mid range automatic preglued machines installed in Europe. This machine is a lower cost unit and designed to complement the existing high speed sleeving equipment offered by the T. Freemantle Limited.

The T. Freemantle service team have recently completed the installation of a fully automatic cartoner with Kraft Foods at their Ukraine plant. The machine runs a high quality metallic foil flow wrapped confectionery product at speeds up to 120 per minute. The high standards set by Kraft have been met and exceeded by T. Freemantle’s careful attention to detail throughout the project.
“We have been involved in the development of the carton design as well as the working tolerances to attain the maximum machinery performance”, explained T. Freemantle’s Richard Kitchen. “The carton is only 16mm deep and incorporates a flip top facility yet operates well within the strict and demanding performance criteria set by Kraft”.
The machine incorporates a simple inline automatic transfer system to accept a random product supply from the line. The simple and robust build coupled with the easy operator controls are very low maintenance were perfectly suited to Kraft Ukraine operating environment. Installation was completed quickly with very little interruption to the existing production schedules.
This contract is among many of T. Freemantle’s high profile installations around the world. The range of equipment supplied by the company is now a recognised as a global brand within the cartoning and sleeving machinery industry.

T. Freemantle's Two Flap Sealer is being sold around the world almost as a mail order item due to its simple Plug and Play installation.
The machine can be delivered fully assembled on a pallet to almost anywhere in the world in a ready to run situation. All the end user needs to do is supply a hand full of the cartons they wish to run on the machine and T. Freemantle's despatch engineers do the rest. T. Freemantle Ltd launch their patent pending sleeving concept to offer the required 25% saving to existing ready meal sleeve applications.
The new concept incorporates a new sleeve design running on one of the company's wraparound sleevers for almost any tray packed foodstuff. The sleeve is automatically formed around the pack and adhered to the sides or bottom of the tray reducing the overall material usage by at least 25% meeting supermarket packaging reduction targets. The sleeve is adhered to the tray with either peelable or standard packaging grade glue depending on the application. Successful trials have already been carried out in conjunction with one major producer.

This is the sixth machine of this type running pizza products installaed within the UK. The band sleeve is an alternative to the traditional full carton and represents an amazing 75% reduction in packaging materials.
